1953 The Beginning
St. Joseph's Govt. Aided High School had its inception in the soil of Muthialpet to impart quality and relevant education for the wholistic development of female children. In the first year, the school welcomed both boys and girls together, marking the start of an educational journey that would span decades.
1954 A New Chapter
On June 18th, 1954, Rev. Fr. Jacob Pazhampalli, the parish priest of Our Lady of Rosary Church, Muthialpet, separated the girls from the school and started conducting classes for them in a thatched shed in front of the church. Though the school had a very small beginning, its growth and development has been gradual and marvelous.
1958 Growing Strong
Due to the increase in student strength, the primary school was upgraded into a Middle school. This expansion reflected the growing trust and confidence of the community in the institution's educational mission.
1977 Major Milestones
A landmark year that brought two significant developments: the commencement of an English nursery section and the upgrade from Middle School to High School. From this time onwards, student strength increased very rapidly, marking a new era of growth and excellence.
2004 Golden Jubilee
The school celebrated its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years of dedicated service to education and the community. This celebration honored the countless students, teachers, and administrators who contributed to the school's legacy.
2009 English Medium
From 2009 onwards, the school adopted English as the sole medium of teaching, ensuring students receive education that prepares them for global opportunities while maintaining their cultural roots.

Our Mission & Vision

The sole aim and objective of the school is nothing but the holistic development of the girls of this place. Besides their curricular activities, students are given ample opportunities to form and develop their attitudes and aptitudes. They are trained and formed to achieve success in all walks of life, carrying forward the legacy of excellence that has defined St. Joseph's for over six decades.
